After being postponed releasing three times due to the pandemic, the latest James Bond movie, No Time To Die, is finally set to hit the big screen on September 30th. No Time To Die is the 25th film in the James Bond franchise, and it is Daniel Craig’s fifth and final adventure.
With the latest and the most dangerous mission of James Bond, soon to be hitting the big screen, ComCab Taxi would love to introduce some famous London landmarks that made appearances in James Bond’s movies. With these suggestions, you can have your own James Bond experience right here in London.
- Somerset House, Strand
Movie: Tomorrow Never Dies, Goldeneye, and Skyfall.

In Tomorrow Never Dies, James Bond pulls up outside Somerset House in his grand Aston Martin DB5. If you visit National Gallery, you may find yourself in Room 34, the same room Bond first encountered in Skyfall.
First opened in 1796, Somerset House is still stunning from every direction. The building looks out across the Thames to the East of Waterloo Bride. At the other end of the Strand, the building is also a venue for excellent exhibitions. It even hosts an ice rink in the central courtyard in winter and fountains in the summer. Somerset House is a must-visit historic building if you travel to London.
2.The River Thames

The River Thames is a well-known London landmark that appeared in a couple of Bond movies. The River Thames has made the most notable appearance in The World Is Not Enough.
If you want to discover iconic views of London, head over to North Greenwich and The O2 and climb up its roof and experience the breath-taking views from one of the key venues used in The World Is Not Enough. You can also head on inside and see a concert, visit an exhibition or relax in one of the O2’s many restaurants and bars.
3. Whitehall, Westminster
Movie: Octopussy, A View of Kill, License to Kill, Skyfall.

Whitehall is the main avenue running from the north of Parliament Square to the southern end of Trafalgar Square. The landmark contains many of the country’s government ministries. It is also the location of the Whitehall Theatre, built in the 17th century with Art Deco style interiors, although the current building dates from 1930.
Whitehall, which is the home of the British government, has been featured in many James Bond movies. In Skyfall, the area outside was closed for filming, where Bond ran down the road past the buildings.
4. SIS Building (MI6), Vauxhall
Movie: Goldeneye, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Skyfall.

The Secret Intelligence Service home (MI6), the Vauxhall Cross building, appeared in many Bond movies. It was first featured in Goldeneye. However, it also made its cameos in The World Is Not Enough, Skyfall and Spectre.
5. Rules Restaurant, Convent Garden

If all this action has left you with quite an appetite, let’s head to Rules Restaurant in Covent Garden to dine and drink like Bond. Rules Restaurant is well-known for its luxury cuisine.
First established in 1798, Rules is London’s oldest restaurant. This state-of-the-art restaurant appears in Spectre with M, Q, Moneypenny and Bond all sitting down to discuss business. If you have a chance to visit Rules, don’t forget to order Bond’s favourite drink, a “shaken not stirred” dry martini.
6. City Hall
Movie: Spectre.

City Hall only made its debut in the Bond franchise in the 2015 movie Spectre. Its curved iconic spiral staircase was re-imagined as the interior of the MI5 data centre.
The architecture of City Hall is impressively attractive. The building is a great tourist attraction in London. Parts of London City Hall are open to the public from Monday to Friday.
