Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared and last reviewed on 22nd June 2023.
The website was last tested on 11th March 2021 by ComCab London who manually audited five pages (Welcome, Book, My Bookings, Track Vehicle) and 1 PDF (Complaints Policy) against all level A and AA success criteria from Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.
The apps were last tested on 15th June 2023 by ComCab London and on 21st June 2023 by the Government Digital Service – Accessibility Monitoring Team who both manually audited a
sample of 22 screens (Welcome, Login, Home, Prebook Time, Choose Pickup/drop off, Train Stations, Booking Details, Contact Customer Service window, Choose Taxi, Payments, Options, Choose Subsidies, Booking Confirmed, History, Cancel booking, My profile, My addresses, Add address, Customer Service, Contacts, Privacy policy (web) and Sign out) and their fields against all level A and AA success criteria from Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.
On our iOS and Android Apps we do not support orientation changes or the use of an external keyboard and will not therefore resolve the following issues raised:
- WCAG 1.3.4 issue 1: app is locked to portrait mode.
- WCAG 2.1.2 issue 1: it is difficult to exit the main menu using a keyboard.
- WCAG 2.1.2 issue 4: unable to confirm address using a keyboard, on the ‘add address’ screen.
Our accessible website at https://book.taxicardbooking.com can be used as alternative to the apps to address the issues above.
Testing was based on a sampling approach and limited to a fixed time period in accordance with Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM).
